Expectations from Parents
  • Teachers are the pillars of the education wing. Criticism of Teachers of the school in the presence of your ward should be studiously avoided because it causes the pupil to lose his/her respect for his/her teacher with consequent failure to learn from him/her.
  • Children cannot be made good by making them happy. But they can be made good by making them good.
  • Parents are not allowed to meet the teachers in the classrooms and in the examination hall.
  • Parents are not allowed to take their wards during school hours, without permission.
  • Check regularly the child’s school diary and home work/notebook and ensure that all take home assignments are completed in time.
  • School age children should participate in family chores such as setting the table and cleaning up.
  • Limit screen time like television and other media to 1 hour a day.
  • Late comers will not be allowed to enter the school premises. They will be returned back home.
  • Parents must not send their children to school when he or she is suffering from any disease.
  • Parents must attend the parent-teacher meetings. In case they are likely to be out of station, prior information in writing should be sent to the Principal who will on their return arrange their meeting with the respective teachers of their ward.
  • Encourage your ward (child) to participate in constructive activities such as sports, clubs, arts, music & scouts. Staying inactive at this age increases the risk of lifetime obesity however, it is also important not to over-schedule your child. Try to find a balance between family time, school work, free play and structured activities.
